The Facts:
- Seniors must pass all portions of the exit-level TAKS in order to be eligible for graduation and participate in graduation exercises.
- Seniors must meet all credit requirements in order to graduate.

Goals:
To develop and implement comprehensive and consistent progress-monitoring strategies that support immediate identification of at-risk seniors and guide them through a series of appropriate interventions. Seniors will successfully complete credit requirements, pass all portions of TAKS, and graduate on time.

Objectives:
- Monitor senior progress on a weekly basis
- Identify at-risk indicators for each senior and assign appropriate interventions
- Promote a sense of urgency for all stakeholders
- Address TAKS and credit issues in a collaborative manner

|
At-Risk Factors:
- Not passing one or more portions of TAKS
- Lack of interest/effort/motivation
- Failing grades
- High rates of absence and/or truancy
- Teen parent
- Special Education status
- English Language Acquisition status
- History of discipline
- Inconsistencies in teaching/learning protocols

Progress Monitoring:
- Each senior counselor will develop and regularly maintain a senior class spreadsheet containing their status toward at-risk indicators
- Senior counselors maintain regular contact with teachers and students
- Senior counselors and administrators will maintain regular contact with students and monitor at-risk indicators
- Assistant principal and/or principal will meet with the senior counselors every week to discuss the progress of each senior and prescribe appropriate interventions.

- Seniors may be called
- Parents may be contacted
- Teachers may be contacted
- Appropriate interventions will be assigned or modified

3 Tier Intervention Strategies:
- These Progressive tiers of Intervention are placed on a graphic or "Pyramid of Interventions for Seniors" for easy visual identification of tiers.

Desired SMART Outcomes:
- Increased student success rates as determined by passing percentages and GPA's
- All seniors will pass all portions of TAKS and graduate on time
- All seniors will meet credit requirements and graduate on time
- Decreased percentages of truancy, absenteeism, discipline referrals in seniors
